| Increase in forwarding fee July 24, 2006
SFFLA wishes to announce that there will be an increase in the forwarding charges with effect from 1st August, 2006.
This increase was tabled by members during the 33rd AGM held on 25th May, 2006 seeking a revision on current forwarding fees to cover the escalating operational costs over the past few years.
The increase will be RM 30.00/ container and RM 30/ LCL shipment.

| Nine months Approved Investments exceed RM35 million November 17, 2006
Malaysia continues to draw investments into the manufacturing sector. Based on the statistics from the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority, (MIDA), investments approved for the manufacturing sector for the period January-September, 2006 registered RM 35.20 billion (US $9.26 billion) in 771 projects, exceeding the whole year approvals in 2005 of RM31.06 billion (US$8.17 billion) in 1,027 projects....
